Not too many years ago comedian Jeff Foxworthy became a star with his trademark "You Might Be a Redneck If..." jokes. Rednecks are an interesting breed that do things backwards because they stubbornly believe that it's the best way, and like all of us, rednecks use technology. Are you a technology redneck? • If you've ever setup a complete workstation in a public eatery that offers free WiFi just to use their Internet connection, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you viewed the transition from tube televisions to flat screen TVs as a golden opportunity to fill your home with as many free-to-cheap tube televisions as possible, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you listen to music on cassette tape, and you're not a hipster, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you've ever used your PC's CD-ROM as a cup holder, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you bought a 3D printer for the sole purpose of printing a gun, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you've ever plugged a power strip into a power strip, and then plugged another power strip into that, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If your permanent solution to a dead electrical outlet is a really long extension cord, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you've made a Facebook profile for your dog, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you've ever mounted a GPS to your ATV for the purpose of spelling your name with the tracking feature, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you've ever purchased a time machine off of eBay, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If your riding lawnmower is more technologically advanced than your pickup truck, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you've used Google Earth to count how many trailers there are in your trailer park, then you might be a technology redneck.
• If you're still using Windows XP, then you might be a technology redneck (the end-of-support date for Windows XP is April 8, consider this your friendly reminder to upgrade).

You may identify with a few of these items on our list. Does that mean you're a technology redneck? Yes. Yes it does. If you are a technology redneck then don't be down about. Many of the items on this list require a lot of innovation and outside-the-box thinking that employers are looking for in today's competitive workplace.
